Project REPORTS: R E P O R T over research project BSEC-HDF / RES 2011-02 - Phase I R E P O R T over research project BSEC-HDF / RES 2011-02 - Phase II R E P O R T over research project BSEC-HDF / RES 2011-02 - Phase III Project results: The Project partners come with a series of achievements in the field of micro hydro-power stations elaboration which will be integrated with various technological systems. It is necessary to mention that in the interested fields of this Project and due to the research teams of the partner universities, 15 patents, 6 research contracts and grants, 40 books and scientific papers were realized. To follow the guidelines, we will mention only some:
It is important to mention that there are many inventions for all types of renewable energy conversion systems. In order to carry out the research on elaboration and implementation of wind and micro-hydro energy conversion systems, the Centre for Renewable Energy Conversion Systems Elaboration was set up at the Technical University of Moldova. The local authority of the Stoenesti village is able to implement the dripping irrigation system integrated with the micro hydro-power station mounted on the Prut river. There is a collaboration that lasts three years between the Technical University of Moldova and the mayoralty of the Stoenesti village. Based on this cooperation a testing site for renewable energy conversion systems was created. A micro hydro-power station with vertical axle was designed at the Technical University of Moldova. It was mounted on the Prut river, in the neighborhood of the Stoenesti village. The blades of this turbine have variable orientation and hydrodynamic profile, which provide high conversion efficiency. A micro hydro aggregate was conceived at the TUI. It is coupled directly with a pump. The application has obvious advantages when is utilized for the irrigation while energy losses are avoided in supplementary conversion. Both types of the conceived micro hydro turbines can be coupled to an electrical generator or to a device that utilizes the provided mechanical energy directly. In both cases it is possible to mount more turbines of this type on the water streams at distances of 30 - 50 m. The developed hydraulic energy conversion systems refer to installations which utilize water kinetic energy, but not the potential energy, as it happens in many cases. These installations possess a series of advantages: technical advantages - hydraulic energy conversion systems are relatively simple; economical advantages - the cost of civil constructions is reduced (in the case of dam construction the cost is much more higher); ecological advantages - major modifications in the ecosystem will not appear. Such systems have relatively small power and are convenient for the installation on water streams of the regions which are eligible to the Programme and for the planned applications. | |||
